  • Time:2023-08-29

To better navigate challenges in the industry and further improve the company’s operation management capabilities, YASC in collaboration with EY held a kick-off meeting of the business operating system (BOS) building project on August 28. Chen Zhongguo, President of YASC, and Sharry Wu, EY Greater China Consulting Business Transformation Leader, were present at the event and delivered remarks for the project launch. Some middle and senior managers of the companies attended the meeting.

Today, the fast-growing third-generation semiconductor industry, represented by silicon carbide (SiC), is becoming a strategic commanding height in next-generation information technology, energy conservation and emission reduction, and national security technology. At the dawn of the era of 800V high-voltage fast charging on new energy vehicles (NEVs), the silicon carbide market will usher in explosive growth in the coming years.

Chen Zhongguo pointed out in his remarks that as China is a latecomer to the third-generation semiconductor, the gap with international giants in market competitiveness is substantial. There is no leading company among domestic enterprises that wields absolute advantage, and the competition landscape is not formed. The next 3-5 years will be a rapid growth phase of the silicon carbide industry, and the optimal window for the company to achieve scale and overtake at the turn. At this critical juncture, the business operating system (BOS) construction project was launched as a new starting point for the company’s development.

The development and growth of an enterprise cannot happen without a clear strategy, a standard process and an excellent corporate culture, emphasized Chen Zhongguo. The company has defined clear strategic directions for each business line in talent, market and capital since the reorganization last year, and formed a corporate culture unique to YASC. The most important thing next is to build a set of mature rules and systems designed to fully prepare the company for large-scale production capacity expansion in the next two years and the new round of market boom.

EY will not only act as a collaborator and supporter in the business operating system (BOS) building project, but also become an “amplifier”, said Sharry Wu, EY Greater China Consulting Business Transformation Leader. She hopes that this project can help the company distill its most valuable resource, that is, the experience of workforce, into YASC’s own assets and ultimately achieve the 1+1>2 objective. EY will fully support the project implementation, coordinate and allocate resources to ensure that the project delivers its expected targets and lays a solid foundation for YASCs more ambitious goal.

The business operating system (BOS) building project will run for 10 months, and involve the work of all departments at the company. By continuously improving the process system, the smooth implementation of the project will further facilitate YASCs market-oriented and large-scale development towards higher goals.
