The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Anhui Province recently announced the list of smart factories and digital workshops in Anhui Province in 2023. After the application by enterprises, recommendation by counties or cities, review by the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, expert review and publicity, the YASC third-generation semiconductor device production digital workshop made the list and was recognized as a Digital Workshop in Anhui Province in 2023.

As an important part of intelligent manufacturing, the digital workshop usually refers to a production model that uses digital and information-based means, combines advanced theories, technologies and methods in management, manufacturing, information and intelligence fields, and thus realizes an automated, intelligent and Internet-based production process.

The intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry has maintained a sound momentum in China, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) at the SCIO press briefing on July 19. Nearly 8,000 digital workshops and smart factories have been built the year to date (YTD) across the country, of which more than 2,500 have reached Intelligent Manufacturing Capability Maturity Level 2 or above and basically completed digital transformation.
