Visit and Exchange | Team led by Ma Heng, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Yangtze River Industry Group Visits YASC for Research

A team led by Ma Heng, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Yangtze River Industry Group visited YASC for research and exchange on August 16, gained an in-depth understanding of the company’s development in the third-generation semiconductor industry, and jointly explored a new chapter of future industrial-financial cooperation.

 

In a meeting at the YASC headquarters, Chen Zhongguo, President of YASC, first extended to all the leaders a warm welcome for their visit and guidance, and introduced YASCs development history, business layout and main products in detail. YASC has been focused on silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor product research, development and manufacturing since its inception, he said. It has nowadays built a complete 650V-3300V SiC product matrix, and achieved full coverage in various application fields from photovoltaics (PV), energy storage and charging stations to new energy vehicles (NEVs). In addition to the existing Wuhu Base with an annual production capacity of 60,000 SiC wafers, YASC is also steadily advancing the Wuhan Base project construction with an annual production capacity of 360,000 SiC wafers. The project has a total investment of CNY 20 billion, and is expected to power-on for mass production in July next year.

The research team fully affirmed YASCs innovation achievements and strategic layout. After conducting the field visit of YASCs showroom and wafer fab floor corridor, and learning about SiC production line and related equipment, the companies had an in-depth discussion on further strengthening industrial-financial cooperation.

 

Relevant executives of Yangtze River Industry Groups Investment Management Department, Mason Technology, Changjiang Auto, Changjiang Optoelectronics, and Hubei Industry Financing Capital participated in this research tour.
